Now lets talk about the benefits of each ingredient!
Benefits Of Aloe Vera:
Due to aloe’s high water content (over 99% water) it is a great way to hydrate, moisturize and rejuvenate your lips. Aloe increases the elasticity of the skin and lips making it more flexible through collagen and elastin repair. Aloe is an emollient, helping to soften and soothe the skin and lips. It helps supply oxygen to the skin cells, increasing the strength and synthesis of skin tissue and induces improved blood flow to the skin and lips through capillary dilation.
Aloe Vera contains many vitamins including A, C, E, folic acid, choline, B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B6. Aloe Vera is also one of the few plants that contains vitamin B12. Some of the 20 minerals found in Aloe vera include: calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium, selenium, sodium, iron, potassium, copper, manganese.
Being a great source of antioxidants, aloe vera gel can work wonders on chapped lips. It can get rid of flaky skin from the lips and make sure that they appear well moisturized and soft.
Topical application of aloe vera gel on your lips can also combat discolouration. That is why it is considered to be highly effective in treating dark lips.
Aloe vera gel is packed with healing properties that can repair damaged skin on the lips and help them look naturally beautiful. Also, this gel can be used for treating any kind of a wound on the lips.
Benefits of Honey:
Honey has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that help to prevent the germs or microbes causing infection or dryness on the lips.
Honey acts as a humectant that helps to lock the moisture in your skin cells and thereby prevents dryness or cracked lips. It has anti-inflammatory and skin soothing properties that reduce the bleeding, swelling, pain or other discomfort caused by cracked lips. Honey forms a layer on the lips to prevent them from getting over dry and protects them from outside irritants.
Benefits of Sugar:
Sugar granules are round and therefore don’t have any ability to “cut” the skin like salt. Why use sugar instead of salt? It’s a far better choice for sensitive skin types and the only choice for the face. Sugar granules dissolve more easily in hot water, and they are less abrasive than salt scrubs. While sugar scrubs don’t have the mineral benefits of salt scrubs, they are less drying, and many natural scrubs now use natural sugars that contain the nutritive properties of sugar cane. Because of the smaller, finer granules, sugar scrubs make a gentle exfoliant that is suitable for nearly all skin types and conditions. The glycolic acid content of sugar is another plus, helping to protect skin against harmful toxins. Vital for the maintenance of healthy skin, this acid works to both condition and moisturize.
Benefits of Lavender Essential Oil:
Lavender is a use all-heal all-plant. If there is one herb I couldn’t live without, Lavender would be it. Here’s why: Lavender has anti-inflammatory properties, helping to reduce redness, teeming with antioxidants, it can help protect your skin from damaging free radicals, which contribute to fine lines and wrinkles.
