Rain Water Hair Don’t Care

Rain water is known to be a high quality water that is soft water, neutral in PH and free from disinfection, salts, minerals and other made-made contaminants. Rain water is better than hard water, it doesn’t leave a soap residue that gets left behind as much as hard water does. Washing your hair in rain water creates a better lather than hard water!

Rain water does have chemicals in it, but does not have the heaviest form of chemicals that are found more in hard water. Many who used rain water stated that when washing their hair, they have noticed a much softer and silky feel to their hair. So I looked at it from this perspective, water benefits the plants and the trees, if they all grow quick and steady in pace, then imagine how much benefit rain water will have on our hair growth!

I do suggest that you filter the rain water first before using it directly onto your hair, as many do state that rain water is acid water. But I always bring it down to the area that you live in. Luckily in live far away from air pollution, smog, ect but I do boil the rainwater I collect just to be on the safe side!

After you have pre-filtered your rain water using coffee filters, you will need to boil the water for two minutes on very high heat, this will kill all the protozoa, bacteria and viruses.

How can we use our rainwater?

Local Spring

There are SO many ways to use rainwater!

Drinking, bathing, add to your Essential Oil diffuser and humidifiers, water your garden, make bath and body products.

Today I’m going to share a recipe I use especially in the summer when I want loose beach wavy hair!

Sea Salt Spray Recipe:

– 1 tablespoon sea salt
– 1 cup of warm water (I use Filtered Rain Water or Local Spring Water)

– 1 tablespoon of Coconut Oil OR Glycerin OR Argon Oil

Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle. And that is it!

How to use it?

Shake the bottle until it mixed well, spray a generous amount of your rain water sea salt spray on dry hair, scrunch well and let it air dry. If your tresses need more body, you can spray into your roots. Leave it to dry naturally or blow-dry with a diffuser. Your hair will look amazingly full of volume and body, which will last until you wash it. Now everyday could be a sexy beach hair day for you! Not to mention, an easy fabulous style!

Do you use Rain Water? Is so, feel free to leave a comment!

Much Love, Michelle
